Engine settled, hands loose on the wheel, radio doing whatever radios do at that hour. I have decided this counts as meditation and no one can prove otherwise.
I bought a scale to be precise about coffee and have since used it to weigh a sandwich, a cat, and my own hand out of curiosity. The coffee is better. Everything else remains unresolved.
I explained something at length, with conviction, and was completely incorrect. The room was kind about it. I am choosing to see this as character-building rather than simply humiliating.
Mostly so I can dramatically sigh and close the book, which does not have the same effect on a phone. Small joys. I keep the phone in another room and let the chapter breathe.
